Bonfire Sellers Raising Funds for Reproductive Rights

Since the Supreme Court draft was leaked earlier this month, news and social media sites (as well as many of our thoughts and daily conversations) have been filled with updates surrounding the Supreme Court’s effective overturning of Roe v. Wade. People all over the nation have taken to the streets to protest, and many have looked for ways to donate their time and/or funds to organizations fighting to keep abortion legal. Here’s a look at a number of Bonfire sellers who are using their apparel-based fundraisers to raise funds for reproductive rights.

Cristina Romero (she/they) of Howdy Ceramics

No Uterus No Opinion! And Don’t Tread on Me Campaigns

Cristina Romero, a ceramic artist and illustrator who lives in Austin Texas, created their No Uterus No Opinion! And Don’t Tread On Me campaigns to benefit the National Network of Abortion Funds. All proceeds raised from this campaign will go towards the Lilith Fund to help provide financial support to persons in need of abortions in Austin, Texas. Cristina’s work is bright, happy, and super unique – and those qualities shine through on their fundraising designs as well.

Huyen Dinh

Mind Your Own Uterus Campaign

Huyen Dinh, a lettering artist based in Los Angeles, created their Mind Your Own Uterus campaign to raise funds for Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project, who provides urgently-needed financial assistance nationwide to individuals seeking abortion services or emergency contraception. Huyen’s incredible lettering skills make this eye-catching and thought-provoking design POP.

Laura Borichevsky (she/they) of Sex Outside

Under-Loved Millennial Campaign

Laura is a sex educator and the founder of Sex Outside, a podcast that strives to normalize conversations about sex, gender, and love by looking at these topics and their many facets through the lens of the outdoors and nature. Laura created their Under-Loved Millennial campaign in response to a tweet by Representative Matt Gaetz that said, “How many of the women rallying against overturning Roe are over-educated, under-loved millennials who sadly return from protests to a lonely microwave dinner with their cats, and no bumble matches?”  Laura’s t-shirt design was so powerful it caught the attention of Gaetz, who then shared another tweet about it, making his feelings very well known. All proceeds from Laura’s Florida-Representative-Matt Gaetz-aggravating campaign will benefit the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Raina Rue (she/her/they) of Juniper Moon Folk Arts

Preserve Abortion Rights Campaign

Raina Rue, the artist behind Juniper Moon Folk Arts, created this Preserve Abortion Rights fundraiser for Holler Health Justice. All proceeds from this campaign go towards funding abortions and practical support through the National Network of Abortion Funds. Raina Rue loves to partner with organizations like Holler Health Justice to raise funds and awareness to help marginalized communities in Appalachia.

Don’t Rewind Our Rights, RU 40-Licks, and Fund Abortion Campaigns

Our Justice has worked for over 70 years to ensure that everyone has the power, autonomy, and resources to access abortion care, no matter the obstacle. All funds raised from their apparel fundraisers go towards helping their organization reach its goal of raising $80,000 in 2022 to make sure abortion remains accessible in Minnesota.

Reproductive Justice for All Campaigns

The National Society of Genetic Counselors believes that ALL individuals and couples should have the right to reproductive freedom and the right to choose. All proceeds from their fundraisers will be donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Reproductive Rights are Human Rights Campaign

Gabby is an artist and mental health advocate who lives in Philly. She is the founder of the Buddy Project, a non-profit aiming to prevent suicide by pairing people as buddies and raising awareness for mental health. All proceeds from her Reproductive Rights are Human Rights fundraisers go towards the Abortion Liberation Fund of PA.

Against Abortion? Don’t Have One. and Abortion is Healthcare Campaigns

Lexi’s Bonfire campaigns: Against Abortion? Don’t Have One. and Abortion is Healthcare is raising money for the Texas Equal Access Fund, which will help provide resources and financial assistance for individuals seeking abortions throughout Texas.

Pro-Abortion and Pro-Abortion Texas Bluebonnets Campaigns

Avow Texas is an organization that strives for a better working Texas, where every person is trusted, thriving, and free to pursue the life they want. They created their pro-abortion and pro-abortion Texas bluebonnets fundraisers on Bonfire to help raise funds for Avow Foundation for Abortion Access, which believes that every Texan should have access to safe, legal abortion regardless of their income or zip code.

Just The Pill Campaigns

Just The Pill is a nonprofit online clinic committed to making it easier for people in rural communities to get abortion care.
