Launch Your Own Giving Campaign on Bonfire

If you’re interested in creating your own fundraising campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month – we’ve got everything you need to get started!

When you launch a Giving Campaign on Bonfire, that means that all proceeds raised from sales will go directly to the organization of your choice. Setting up a Giving Campaign is easy, straightforward and only takes a few steps! 

  1. You’ll start by designing your shirt and setting your prices.
  2. Select “Fundraising” as your campaign type when prompted to do so.
  3. Choose which 501(c)3 nonprofit organization you’d like to donate to.
    • If the organization of your choice is listed on Charity Navigator, you should be able to find it easily on Bonfire by typing the EIN or name of the nonprofit into the search bar.
  4. Once you’ve connected the nonprofit to your campaign, it is automatically set up to send funds to them directly. 

When you’re ready to launch, your campaign page will display the name of the nonprofit you’re supporting. By clicking on the green heart icon next to the nonprofit’s name, buyers can access more information about the nonprofit, such as their location, EIN, and verification status.

Pro tip
Include images, videos and important links in the “About this campaign” section of your campaign page to share your fundraising story with your community! This is a great way to connect with your supporters and get them interested in your cause.

NAMI’s More Than Enough Campaign

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month with their More Than Enough campaign. Throughout the month, they are inviting people to share with them on social media why they are more than enough by tagging them (@NAMICommunicate) and using their hashtag #MoreThanEnough.

To help folks get started, they have provided sample posts on their website, as well as free-to-use social graphics with content surrounding their More Than Enough theme and Facebook profile photo frames.

The L.L. Bean Feel-Good Challenge

This Mental Health Awareness Month, L.L.Bean is hosting the Feel-Good Challenge to benefit Mental Health America. For this challenge, they are asking participants to work together towards a combined goal of 500,000 hours outside during the month of May. L.L.Bean is donating $25,000 to Mental Health America – and will double their donation to $50,000 if the 500,000 hours goal is met. The goal of this challenge is to emphasize the positive impact that even a small amount of time outside can have on one’s mental well-being.

AMHCA 2023 Mental Health Awareness Month Virtual 5K

The American Mental Health Counselors Association is hosting a virtual 5K to promote Mental Health Awareness Month! All proceeds raised from the event will go to the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the only national organization advocating for clinical mental health counselors. Participation in the 5K costs $10.
